Chapter 7

It was when we had come out of hyperspace that I remembered why Dantooine sounded familiar.

Dantooine was where Kykkin's head-quarters was.

My former home.

Reyjin squeezed my shoulder. "Are you okay?"

"Huh?" I looked at her. "Oh, um, yeah. I'm fine."

I was the opposite.

Reaga was studying us from across the cockpit.

"Where are you from, Winera?" she asked suddenly."You've never told me."

I swallowed. "Dagobah." Half-lie.

For real?

Wait... what?! I stared at Reyjin. Was she speaking in my head? I decided to try it.

Um... did you say something?

I'm not kidding, she jumped like thirty feet into the air.

Am I crazy, or are you speaking in my head?

Um...

SWEET! This is so cool!

Zenla was looking at Reyjin, confused. One second Reyjin's just sitting there, the next she's flying through the air, and now she's laughing her head off.

"I'm scared to ask."

I lowered the ship towards the ground and tried to control my shaking. It'll be fine, I told myself. Kykkin is probably gone by now.

Wishful thinking.

"What is that?" Kristern was looking at a familiar facility.

I swallowed hard. "Dunno." A real lie this time.

Kykkin was still here. Kykkin was still here. He knows my ship. He knows me.

"So, split up?" Regga was looking at me funny. I swallowed again.

"Sure." My throat suddenly went dry.

"I'll kill you! You, and whoever you're with! Have fun, Hunter-girl." Kykkin's parting words echoed in my mind.

I had to keep Reyjin away from that base.

Sadly, Reyjin had no idea.

"Kristern and Regga will try to find out where Aera is exactly, while us others scout around over there." She waved her arm towards the facility.

No.

She looked at me, confused, but only for a second. "Let's go."

She set out, giving me no choice but to follow.

Zenla trailed a little farther behind. "Reyjin, I don't know if this is a good ideeeaaah..." She trailed off.

"What?" Reyjin turned around and instantly grabbed her lightsabor.

I turned around a moment later and froze.

So... Kykkin has an army now.

Chapter Six

In the morning, Reyjin and I received word that "certain happenings" had delayed Master Yoda for a little while, so it might be some time before we got any word back.

So we just headed to the training room.

Reyjin declared that I would get proper training with a lightsaber, no matter the outcome.

When we got to the room, most of the team was already there, other than Dari and Cordic, who were out with their masters.

Reyjin grabbed a practice saber for me. She walked me through the basics.

Over in a corner, Besk was varying between punching a practice droid and typing something on an odd device.

Just when Reyjin decided I was ready to go against a remote, Besk called out, "I found something!"

All of us went running over to him. He showed us what was on his screen.

"I've been working on a tracker- to find Aera -for a little while," he explained. "And I think I found something."

"Where?!" Reyjin literally wrenched the computer from his hands.

"I was about to tell you." Besk sounded annoyed and grumpy- like usual.

"Dantooine?" Reyjin sounded skeptical- like she usually did around Besk. "You're certain?"

"Well, it's the closest I could get. It actually is more like the space somewhere around it. The signal is very weak."

Reyjin exhaled. "Well, it's something, and that might be enough." She looked around at us. "Do we want to go?"

"Master Windu will never let you," Sikito warned, coming up.

"Mace doesn't need to know." Rejin turned towards the door to leave.

"Hold up- what did you just call him?!" Seirsha's jaw dropped. "Mace? Seriously?"

"Yep. C'mon. Kristern will take us." Reyjin was already out the door.

No one moved. She stuck her head back in. "Is anyone coming?"

"I'll come... I guess?" I shrugged. Zenla agreed to come along too.

"So you have a slight signal, and you're ready to chase it across the galaxy?" Reaga Tosre shook her head. "Can I just say this is utter stupidity?"

"I love the idea!" Kristern Topeca bounded in. "When do we go?"

"This is not a good idea, and I have a really bad feeling about this, but okay." Reaga sighed. "I'll come along to save your skins."

"Great." Kristern grinned. "Where are we going?"

We just stared at her.

"We should take Winera's ship," Reyjin announced. "To be inconspicuous."

"Great! I'm flying." Kristern got ready to take my position.

"Ehn-ehn-ehn!" I shook my head. "My ship, I'm the captain." We climbed in. I directed everyone to their positions.

"Let's go get a Jedi."
