Chapter Four

                      Chapter Four

There was silence for a few minutes as the two older Jedi looked me over. The bald one didn't seem too interested.
"Is there a reason that you have brought your 'sister' to the Temple?" he asked Reyjin. My sister held his gaze.
"Yes, actually, there is," she said, "a reason."
"And that reason is..." The bearded Jedi prompted her. Reyjin lifted her chin.
"I would like her to become a Jedi." she stated firmly. The older Jedi exchanged surprised looks. "If possible," she added quickly. The bald one looked at me doubtfully.
"Does she have the Force?" he asked. Reyjin looked slightly offended.
"I beg your pardon, Master Windu, of course she does! Are you implying that I don't know that she needs the Force to become a Jedi?"
So the bald one was the Master Windu that Reyjin was hoping to drive crazy. As they engaged in a glaring contest, it seemed she had already succeeded. The bearded Jedi interrupted.
"The thing is, Reyjin, Master Yoda is not here at the moment. He is on Kashyyyk. He will return tomorrow." Reyjin considered this for a moment. Then she shrugged.
"OK, no biggy. I'll wait 'till tomorrow... but, Master Kenobi, will you please mention Winera to him when he returns? I fear Master Windu would 'forget'." she asked, giving Windu a scornful look. Kenobi nodded.
"Thank you!" Reyjin said. She took my hand. "Com'on, let's go see how the team coped with me gone for an hour."
Reyjin led me down a hallway. We paused by a door. She looked at me.
"Just want to warn you, they are kinda crazy, sooooo, heads up." She gave me a worried smile, and opened the door. Reyjin turned to me with a grin.
"Winera, welcome to True Team Training!" She lead me in.

Chapter Three

        Chapter Three

We arrived in Courasant about ten minuets later. I was a little scared. I had never been off my swamp-world before, and I had no idea what to expect. The one nice thing was that Reyjin was with me. She grabbed my hand and lead me to an air taxi. She warned me that I might be given some strange looks, but that I shouldn't pay them any mind. Within minuets, we were at the Temple. Saij had told me a little bit about it, but I had no idea it would be this big. It was a large rectanglish shape with a bunch of tall spires. Reyjin looked up at the tallest one. A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.
"Master Windu is going to rail at me so bad!" she said happily. She glanced at me with a gleeful grin on her face.
"I love driving him crazy." Reyjin explained. We climbed off the taxi and Reyjin tossed a coin to the driver. Then she lead me up the stairs. My stomach fluttered. There were a few Jedi outside on the steps, and, sure enough, they gave me some funny looks. There was a group of kids about Reyjin and my age, and they were arguing loudly. Well, two of them were. The other one was just standing there, staring a bit nervously. My sister noticed, and stopped walking. She gestured towards them.
"Look's like Thad and Amesa disagreed. Again." she shook her head and chuckled quietly. "Poor Brandy. I feel for her." Taking my hand, we started walking again.
"Reyjin! What took you so long?" I heard someone call. They sounded very grumpy. Reyjin sighed.
"Come on." she told me. We walked over to the voice. It was an older, bald, dark skinned Jedi man with a younger looking male Jedi with a beard. The bald Jedi looked at Reyjin disapprovingly.
"Reyjin, I told you to find out what was going on, and come back! I didn't tell you to start a battle!" My sister looked very apologetic.
"I didn't start a battle! I found... I found..." Reyjin stammered. She pulled me forward. "I found my sister." she said in a quiet voice.  Both the older Jedi looked me over for a silent moment. Then the bald one cleared his throat. I couldn't help but shake.

Chapter 2

                      CHAPTER 2
      "What?"
I said.
      "I'm blanking."
She sighed, and repeated herself.
      "You should be a Jedi."
I shook my head. Reyjin cocked her head to a side.
     "Why not?"
She asked. I sighed. She was determined.
"For one, I don't want to be a Jedi. I've got a life here!"
Reyjin snorted.
"Some life. People tracking you down all the time."
I was mad. This was my life. I wasn't a easy-going Temple girl.
"Reyjin, would the Jedi accept me? For all they know, I'm a Bounty Hunter who's asking to be a Jedi. Does it make sense for them to suddenly just say sure? Also, I don't know how to use a lightsabor. And I'm probably too old."
Reyjin lifted her chin decidedly.
      "I'll get you in."
I frowned. I did want to leave this swamp world. I thought a little while, then relented.
"Alright, I'll go. But, how do we get there?"
I asked, not really wanting to ride on her lap all the way to the Temple, or vice versa. Or be crammed under her consul. Reyjin nodded at my home.
"From what I heard, there's a certain girl around here with a ship she made herself."
I chuckled.
"Yeah, right. How is that 'certain girl' going to fly her ship? Seems that a certain Jedi destroyed her ship's engine."
I tried to say this with a straight face, and I almost succeeded. But then I met my sister's eyes, and we both burst out laughing. Reyjin caught her breath.
"Is your ship big enough for both of us?"
I nodded slowly.
"Great! I'll just call my astromach, R12-N3, and tell it to bring my fighter down. I'll bet we could use my engine to repair yours."
I was excited with idea. I had always wanted to look inside a Jedi Interceptor engine, but never had had the chance. Now I could. I gave Reyjin a quick nod, trying to contain my excitement.
    "OK, I'll go call R12."
She walked a few feet away. Pulling out her comlink, she stared talking to her droid quietly, but after a few minuets, they were arguing loudly.
"R12, it's not your business to listen in on other people's conversations! Get the ship and get down here! R12....R12....OH MY GOODNESS R12!!!! No she is not going to steal you! R12, I'm getting images of leaving you behind.... OK, that's just rude! Would you shut up and get down here? Thank you!"
Reyjin came back over. I snickered.
"Had some trouble with your droid?"
I asked. She acted super surprised.
"Really? Trouble? I don't think so!"
Then she shook her head.
"He really is a pain, but Master Oomaron won't let me get a different one."
My sister glanced up a rise.
"And here he comes with my ship now."
I suddenly felt a little uneasy. I had to tell her about my Kyber crystal. Reyjin was quiet a moment after I told her. Then she shrugged.
"Well, they were already dead, right? Their crystals weren't very much use anymore."
Once R12 arrived (which took a while), we fixed my engine pretty quickly. R12 didn't get along very well with G8H2Z (GAHZ), my droid I built, but they tolerated each other. In a few minuets, we were on our way to Courasant. To the Temple.
"Ready or not, Master Windu, here we come!"
Reyjin said under her breath as we took off. Just before we went into lightspeed, I took one last look at Dagobah.
     "Good-bye."
I whispered. Then I made the jump.

Welcome to My Jedi Story

                           WELCOME!
I'm really excited to be writing this. A little bit about me that I think you should know is...I love Star Wars...I love to read...I'm pretty good at sewing and drawing...My father is a pastor at Turner Village Church...And I love to write! I'm writing a Fan Fiction book about Star Wars that starts during the Clone Wars, and is basically what would have happened if Order 66 hadn't happened. Each week I'm going to post a new chapter from it. I would like to thank a few people who helped me:
         Thank you...
Constance & Bonaventura:
who played important roles in this story.
Faith:
who taught me the love of writing.
Phineas:
who introduced me to Star Wars.
Jenifer Neilson:
who taught me to believe in myself.
Mommy:
who always listened to my crazy stories.
These people inspired me to write this story. I hope you enjoy reading it.
At the end of book will be a index of all the characters  and how to pronounce their names.

Chapter One

                      CHAPTER ONE

   She stared straight at me.
"We've fought each other for thirteen year now. I've given you this offer every time        we fight. Will you join me?"
I gripped my blaster handle tightly.
"I tell you this every time you offer. My answer is still no."
    She sighed.
"You've forced me to do this."
    She chuckled.
       "Literally."
I rolled my eyes. Thirteen years of fighting this Separatist had made me tired of her dumb jokes. I looked her steadily in the eye.
       "You may try."
She growled and shoved me with the Force against a tree. I landed on my knees, winded. Clicking her tongue, she advanced on me. She shook her head.
"Pathetic. I thought this would be harder."

I awoke with a start. It was just a dream. I told myself. The same one I've been having this past week. I knew this girl in the awake world. I just couldn't grasp her name. Ma-ma-ma-something. I went to working on my ship. I built it in one month when I was seven. I sensed something was wrong, but I brushed the feeling away. It was nearing noon, when I saw a Jedi Fighter. I felt a tiny prick of guilt. Kykkin had a part in it, too. I reminded myself. It was his fault, too. Narjrish told me I should take their crystals. Narjrish was a Jedi Youngling who had been on the freighter that was shot down. Somehow, he survived the crash, and gave me permission to use the other Jedi's crystal. I had used the lightsabor crystals for powering my engine. He left with Saij. A little while later, I spotted a Jedi girl around my age coming towards me. I climbed into my ship to prepare it for take-off.
     "Hey, where are you going?"
I turned around, and saw the Jedi girl standing there looking at me. I raised my ship's shield.
"We were told there was a dangerous bounty hunter in this area. If I know this area of Dagobah, they hardly report anything. So you know that if they do report, some thing's wrong."
      I quirked an eyebrow.
"'If you know this area of Dagobah?' Have you been here before?"
I asked with a slight chuckle. The girl shrugged.
"I just want to know why you're doing it."
I rolled my eyes at her.
"Uh, survival? And, hey, I'm not a bounty hunter. I'm, like, the same age as you."
"Well, I'm a Jedi who's losing her patience. Why. Are. You. Shooting down. Our. Ships?"
She was losing her patience? I had lost my patience! I pulled out my blaster, and fired at her. I penetrated the shield and whizzed towards her. That was probably the dumbest idea I ever had. She pulled out her lightsabor and deflected it into my shield. But the shot had created a diversion for me to take off. I felt a surge of joy as my ship lifted off without the engine screaming at me. But that joy was short living, for when I was about ten feet off the ground, I felt a horrid jerk and then the engine did scream at me. I started losing altitude, then I was back on the ground. I looked at the Jedi girl, who was trying to hide a grin.
"What did you do that for?"
I demanded. She shrugged innocently.
"Sorry I had to ruin your engine, but you must understand I can't let you leave. Wouldn't know where you would go and terrorize more planets."
"Terrorize? Is that what you high and mighty Jedi think of abandoned kids like me who are trying to help?!"
I cried. Than I did something I rarely (if ever) do: I shoved her with the Force. Kykkin told me when I was younger that I had an insane amount of Force. Apparently, the girl could see what I was planning on doing, so she tried to stop me be shoving me with the Force. We were stuck in a Force-lock. Neither of us wanted to be the first one to stop, because that person would probably get to most battered when both went flying. Than, there was the Flashback. I had had this Flashback before, so when I realized who this Jedi girl was, I was so startled, that I stopped the Force-lock. My sister had had the Flashback as well, so we both went flying. I lay on my back, partially in a pool of swamp water. I didn't dare say the name, in case I was wrong. But her whisper confirmed I was right:
       "Win-Winera?"
I started crying. How long had it been since someone said my actual name?
      "Reyjin?"
I whispered, wondering if she had heard me.
     "Winera!"
Oh, yep. She'd heard me. Reyjin ran around the ship and we embraced. She started crying too.
"I'm so sorry, Reyjin! I didn't shoot down your ship on purpose! It was Kykkin."
I cried. She patted my back.
"I get it, Win. I do."
We pulled out of the embrace, and started looking at each other from head to toe.
"I don't care what the others will say, I'm gonna do it."
Reyjin muttered, looking at me intently.
      "Do what?"
I asked, confused. My sister looked me dead in the eye and said,
"I think you should be a Jedi."
